What does DOHA do?

WHAT DOES DOHA DO?

Door of Hope Australia (DOHA) is a child-focused Christian organisation dedicated to alleviating the suffering caused by extreme poverty and conflict in developing nations. Since its founding in 1996, DOHA has operated under a mandate to “preserve, improve, and sustain” the quality of life for vulnerable children and their communities through integrated projects in education, healthcare, vocational training, and clean water sanitation. By partnering with local leaders in regions such as South Sudan, Fiji, Philippines and Kenya, the organisation empowers families to transition from immediate crisis to long-term self-sufficiency, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive in a safe and dignified environment.

🔍OUR GLOBAL FOOTPRINT:

The DOHA Difference: Our DGR Integrity

Every project in our portfolio is vetted for Development Compliance to protect our donors and our mission.

  • Tax Deductibility: As an OAGDS-endorsed charity, DOHA ensures that donations to these four pillars are 100% tax-deductible.
  • Accountability: We maintain strict oversight through our Public Fund, ensuring all cross-border transfers satisfy the ACNC External Conduct Standards (ECS).
  • Focus: While we are a Christian organization, our DGR-funded development work is delivered based on need, ensuring that children of all backgrounds have the chance to dream again.
